This will download the older version of WinJewel
that will operate on any version of Windows. Contact
WinJewel if you would prefer a sample on a free CD. This mailed sample on CD
also has the newer, greately improved and expanded version of WinJewel that
will only run on Windows 95 or later.
You can download a fully
working copy of WinJewel that will run for about 30 days. It will take about 20
minutes to download if you have a 14,400 modem or about 12 minutes if you have
a 28,800 modem. The time of course will vary with other speeds. Call if you
have questions or just need some help in configuring your computer system,
network or printers.
WinJewel is downloaded as 3 self-extracting files that are called
wjdisk1.exe, wjdisk2.exe, and wjdisk3.exe. You should download these 3 files
all into the same temporary directory on your computer. Downloading is
performed by clicking on the files below.

The activation number
which is valid until the end of January is 5177482.
Please make a note of it and supply it when you run WinJewel for the first
time.
After you have downloaded the
files you can expand them by simply running each file. This will expand and
separate the over 150 files that make up the WinJewel program. You should then
run the file called "Setup" to configure the files for your system
and create a WinJewel icon. The following detailed directions assume that the
files were downloaded into a directory called WJTEMP. You may want to create a
directory called WJTEMP on your hard drive. If you don't, then substitute the
path and name of your temporary directory that you have used to download the
files in the directions below.
After you
have downloaded the files . . .
If you are running Windows 3.1 or 3.11 then
click on "File"click on "Run" enter
"C:\WJTEMP\WJDISK1" Click on "OK"
(repeat
this step 3 times substituting each file name for "WJDISK1")
click on "File"click on "Run"enter
"C:\WJTEMP\SETUP"Click on "OK"
If you are running Windows 95 (or later) then
click on "Start"click on "Run" enter
"C:\WJTEMP\WJDISK1"Click on "OK"
(repeat
these first 4 steps substituting each file name for "WJDISK1")
click on "Start"click on "Run"enter
"C:\WJTEMP\SETUP"Click on "OK"
Either way WinJewel will
install onto your hard disk. To save space you can now delete the directory
"WJTEMP".
WinJewel makes no changes in
any of your system files and can be un-installed by simply deleting the
directory called "WINJEWEL".
